How I Used Technology to Transform My Career in Event Photography
Early in my career as an event photographer, I saw the writing on the wall: iPhones would replace traditional photography. So, I pivoted, changing the way I used technology by producing my own events instead of just documenting others. This shift allowed me to generate revenue from the events themselves, which I then photographed and leveraged new digital marketing tools, like social media (yes, they were once new too), to sell tickets to future events.

A Powerful Insight
This realization led me to a powerful insight: I could turn an iPad into a photo booth to collect email addresses. It was a game-changer for me—it solved my scalability problem because now I could operate in multiple places simultaneously, and most importantly, it made remarketing future event tickets significantly easier as I amassed email lists several hundred thousand people strong. Once I honed this concept into its working form, my first business, NickyDigital.com, was sunset, and OutSnapped.com was born, allowing me to provide my services and learnings to clients.

The Shift to AI: My Journey to Innovation
Three years ago, I became fascinated with Generative AI for images and immediately became obsessed with creating workflows to integrate it into event photography and photo booths. This exploration led me to invent my own patent-pending technology (move over Nikola Tesla and Benjamin Franklin, there's a new inventor in town 😉)!
Hundreds of AI Photo Booth Experience events later, I'm still passionate about diving deeper into the realms of AI and using it as a tool to give me superpowers rather than letting it replace me.
