As the temperatures rise and summer breezes fill the air, we're thrilled to share our carefully curated June playlist. Bursting with fresh beats, timeless classics, and personal favorites, it forms the perfect soundtrack for the season.

The playlist kicks off with a track that's particularly dear to me, "Summerfun" by SPF 5000. What began as a fun idea when my friend Amy Douglas pitched a NickyDigital theme song – transformed into the launch of Knight Time Records. Collaborating with several incredible artists, such as Joe Goddard from Hot Chip, Amy lent her powerful vocals to many dance floor hits over the past decade.
Next, we delve into the irresistible "Golden Years - TOKiMONSTA Remix" by David Bowie. While classics remixed can often miss the mark, this one not only hits it, but does so with style! It's the perfect track to blast on a sunny day with the windows down.
As we move along, you'll find your foot tapping to the hypnotic beats of Alison Goldfrapp's "So Hard So Hot" and the atmospheric "Kicking Up A Fuss" by BC Camplight.
Bringing a burst of high energy to our list, we have YACHT's "Overboogie" and John Grant's "GMF," a track that has personally become my current theme song as I’ve grown from NickyDigital back to being Nicholas Rhodes – it resonates with me deeply, "From the top of my head, Down to the tips of the toes on my feet."
But John Grant doesn't stop there. He's also part of the duo Creep Show, offering the haunting "Yawning Abyss," a unique exploration of sonic landscapes showcasing Grant's musical versatility.
Midway through the playlist, the duo Sofi Tukker – Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern – capture the quintessential New York summer vibe with their track "Summer in New York."
As we move towards the end of our playlist, we pay homage to disco with "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) - Soulwax For Despacio Remix" by Sylvester. This remix invigorates the classic track with a modern touch without losing the iconic energy that made it a hit.
One of my favorite additions to the playlist is "Peanut Butter - Larry Levan Mix / Bonus Track" by Gwen Guthrie. The original was brilliant, but Larry Levan’s mix takes it to another level—it’s the perfect soundtrack for those chilled, late-night summer hangouts.
Closing out our playlist, we have tracks from an array of artists, each bringing their unique flavor to create a diverse and dynamic playlist. As varied and vibrant as our beloved city, this music collection will surely make your summer memorable.
